Maryja w świątyni

Ryszard Rubinkiewicz

Abstract

The paper discusses the mariological aspects of the Gospel of Childhood according to St Luke (Lk 2, 22-40 and 2, 48-50). Everything that has been written in those pericopes about Jesus and Mary occurs in the temple and comes about within the context of Passover. In the Gospel of Luce the temple in which 12-year-old Jesus is sitting among teachers is the only place of teaching where Jesus teaches (Lk 19, 47; 20, 1; 21, 37 n.; 22, 53). Mary obeys the Law, She is full of maternal love towards Her Son. She suffers together with Him „a sign that is spoken against” (Lk 2, 34). She is always internally united with Jesus but She allows Him to follow the way set out by the Father. Beyond the family Fies there is God between Mary and Jesus. It is God who determines and governs everything. In Her internal and unique relation with Jesus Mary also learns to get to know God as the Father.
