Abstract
The article analyzes selected literary motifs of Psalm 77, which were used by Origen to formulate more-than-literal interpretations. The methodology of research on the processes of creating allegorical and symbolic associations was applied to the following literary motifs: the separation of the waters of the Red Sea, a cloud and a pillar of fire leading the Israelites through the desert, water from a rock, and manna from heaven.
