Mariä empfängnis laut dem Evangelium nach Philippus

Im Aufsatz führt die Verfasserin die Analyse eines Fragments aus dem Evangelium nach Philippus 59, 23-33, bekannt als Mariä Empfängnis (nach H.M. Schenke und W. Myszor) durch. Sie stellt fest, dass der gnostische Autor viele gegenwärtig berührten Themen aus dem Bereich der Mariologie ergriffen hat (Ignatius von Antiochien, Justin der Märtyrer, Irenäus von Lyon, Klemens von Alexandrien, die Autoren von Apokryphen). Es sind: Mariä Empfängnis durch den Heiligen Geist, Jungfräulichkeit der heiligen Maria und Maria als die neue Eva. Die Verfasserin stellt fest, dass der Gnostiker in erster Frage die Gegenstellung zur bekannten Überlieferung des Evangeliums (Mt 1, 18-26; Lk 1, 26-38) und zu den Aussagen der frühchristlichen Schriftsteller, sog. „Hebräer” genommen hat, indem er argumentiert, dass ein irdisches Weib von einem Weib nicht empfangen sein kann. In zwei anderen Fragen nähert er sich zur orthodoxen Stellung, als er die volle Jungfräulichkeit der Gottesmutter Maria anerkannt (davon zeugt der Ausdruck „Maria ist die Jungfrau, die von keiner Kraft befleckt wurde” und betrachtet sie als die neue Eva – die Mutter des befreiten Menschengeschlechts (im Lichte der Aussage 72, 16-21).
