Direct Marketing
Communication and promotional activities carried out on behalf of “Zeszyty Naukowe Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego Jana Pawła II” are honest, appropriately targeted, proportionate, and non-intrusive.
This policy covers, in particular:
- individual invitations to submit manuscripts;
- the distribution of calls for thematic issues;
- invitations to take part in the journal's conferences and other scholarly initiatives;
- email messages and newsletters;
- communication via the website and social media;
- other activities promoting the journal and the content it publishes.
Inviting Authors
Individual invitations to submit manuscripts may be sent to researchers whose scholarly output relates to the journal's profile or to the subject of a planned issue.
The Editorial Office:
- does not conduct mass, untargeted mailings;
- does not use unverified or purchased address databases;
- limits the frequency of invitations sent;
- does not resend messages to individuals who have indicated they do not wish to receive them;
- does not pressure recipients and does not create a false sense of urgency;
- provides accurate sender details and up-to-date contact information for the journal.
An invitation to submit an article is not a guarantee that it will be accepted or published. Every submitted manuscript is subject to the same rules of initial editorial assessment and peer review, regardless of whether it was submitted on the author's own initiative or in response to an invitation from the Editorial Office.
Accuracy of Information
Information disseminated by the journal must be factually accurate and verifiable.
In particular, communications concerning:
- the journal's Publisher and owner;
- its publication frequency;
- its subject scope;
- the review process;
- the composition of the editorial team;
- indexing in databases;
- bibliometric indicators;
- author fees;
- licensing and the open-access model;
- submission and publication deadlines
must not contain information that is false, outdated, exaggerated, or liable to mislead authors or readers.
The journal does not guarantee that a manuscript will be accepted, that it will be published by a specific date, or that the author will receive citations, points, or other benefits. Nor does it improperly present information suggesting indexing in a database to which it has not been admitted.
Identifying the Sender
Every message sent on behalf of the journal should:
- clearly identify “Zeszyty Naukowe KUL” as the sender;
- include accurate contact details for the Editorial Office;
- clearly state the purpose of the contact;
- allow the recipient to opt out of receiving further messages.
Messages may not impersonate other individuals, institutions, indexing databases, or scholarly organizations.
Data Protection and Opting Out
Contact details used in this communication are processed in accordance with applicable personal-data-protection law and the privacy policy of the KUL Journals Platform.
Recipients may opt out of receiving promotional information at any time. Once such a request is received, the Editorial Office stops sending further messages of that kind.
An opt-out request may be sent to: znkul@kul.pl
Opting out of marketing communications has no effect on the ability to submit an article, on the editorial process, or on future scholarly collaboration with the journal.
