L'autore del articolo prima di tutto ci mostra le qualita personali del padre sia da parte positiva sia negativa. Gli entrambi autori nella presentazione dell’ideale di un padre non omettevano il suo rapporto in confronto alla fede. Nei loro scritti possiamo trovare dei brani dedicati anche alle relazioni tra padre e figlio.
