Późnorzymskie ustawodawstwo państwowe przeciw Żydom (IV–V wieku). Egzemplifikacja na podstawie ograniczeń praw obywatelskich

Abstract
The subject of this publication are the imperial restrictions announced toward the Jews by the Christian Roman emperors in the late Empire. The author narrows these issues only to the field of legislation, because he focuses only on late-antique legislation directed against the followers of Judaism. The source material is, contained in the Theodosianus Codex, imperial regulation promulgated in the years 339-438. The lawmakers banned the followers of Judaism to undertake mixed marriages and to acquire Christian-slaves. The restrictions were also issues about the ability to draw up their important testaments. The Jews were also forbidden, without special permission from the state authorities, not only to build new synagogues, but also repair already existing Jewish temples. At the beginning of the fifth century emperors also decided to take legal steps towards reducing the civil rights of the followers of Judaism, because the statutes prohibit the exercise of certain offices. All these laws certainly worsened the legal situation of this group of people.
