In der europaischen und polnischen Kunst gibt es zahlreiche Darstellungen des hl. Ambrosius. Trotzdem ist seine Ikonographie nicht ausreichend erforscht worden. Es gibt keine kompiexen Bearbeitungen, in denen Inhalte mit hagiographischen und theologischen Botschaften in Zusammenhang gebracht wtirden.
