Dans les recherches sur l’empereur Constantin I souvent on exprime l'opinion selon laquelle cet empereur aurait change totalement son attitude envers les ariens apres le concile de Nicee. Beaucoup de chercheurs soulignent que pendant la reunion des eveques a Nicee, Constantin se declarait contre les ariens.
