Abstract

In diesem Beitrag wurde eine besondere Aufmerksamkeit auf die so genannten „hellenischen” Sitten und Brauche gelenkt. Nach Basilius Meinung war die Begrabnisfeier der Christen seiner Zeit der heidnischen ahnlich. Im Leichenzug nahmen die Klageweiber teil, die wehlklagten und ihre Gesichten zerfleischten.
