L’antique controverse pascale avait differentes phases, en constituant en fait les debats separes. Le premier debat au Ileme siecle opposait les communautes d’Asie qui celebraient la grande Fete la meme date que les Juifs, le jour de la pleine lune, quelque soit le jour de la semaine ou il pouvait tomber (quartodecimans) et les autres Eglises qui rfacceptaient la celebration pascale que le dimanche.
