Platforma Czasopism KUL – CzasKUL (KUL Journals Platform – CzasKUL), is a platform of open access scientific journals, published at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin; the CzasKUL platform is run and monitored by the team of Department of Repository and Publications Positioning at KUL.

CzasKUL is based on Open Journal System (OJS), where the whole publication process can be set up – starting form submitting a paper, to its publication on the internet. OJS not only addresses the needs of editors, reviewers or scientists, but also of students and everyone interested in the scientific research. 

The platform grants an open access to recent issues of published journals, as well as to their archives. Journals’ content can be accessed thanks to Creative Commons license. An icon placed next to each paper informs about readers rights to the text.

CzasKUL aims to:

• improve the visibility of papers published at KUL, broaden their reception, and thus – increase their citations,
• help to export data to external databases and aggregators, using OAI-PMH protocol,
• enhance publishing process,
• promote open access to scientific publications,
• share full texts of scientific papers together with the information on how they can be used,
• automatic DOI assignment and registration,
• support editorial boards to fulfill application criteria of international bibliographic and bibliometric databases.

CzasKUL provides the access to several add-ons: DOAJ, Crossref, Scopus, as well as Google Analytics. One can transfer information to social media, about uploaded papers, and find their statistics, citations, and altmetrics. Moreover, CzasKUL offers a possibility to receive descriptions based on different bibliographic styles.
