Abstract
In this article, the author presents sixteen short poems by Rabanus Maurus, a poet of the Carolingian age. Among them are poems about inscriptions in churches (mainly centered on the cross and relics of the Saints), epitaphs and liturgical hymns. The Polish translation of the poems is an integral part of the essay.
