Gnosis - Gnosticism - Neognosticism - an Approach to the Revision of the Concepts

The aim of the article is to propose some conceptual distinctions concerning the ideas in the title. At the beginning of XX century Adolf Hamack had discerned "gnosis" as a mental attitude and "gnosticism" as a philosophical and religious current of the late antiquity. But we have to do not only with the two kinds of historical phenomena but also with the significant recurrences of both in the European intellectual history.
