Abstract

Obwohl das Matthäusevangelium in seiner Genese zwei Schichten aufweist, ist der theologische Gedankengang einer. Das alte Israel hat Jesus nicht angenommen. Daher wendet er sich zu einem neuen Jüngerkreis – zur Kirche. Jesus bestellt die Zwölf in diesem Kreis, damit sie seine Lehre weiter unterbreiten in der Kirche, dem neuen Israel Gottes – mit Petrus an der Spitze. Diese Lehre Jesu in der Kirche und die Kirche ist für alle da und offen.
