Religia i polityka w Ameryce a konflikt w sferze publicznej

Niniejszy artykuł ukazuje podział religijny w Stanach Zjednoczonych na konserwatystów, umiarkowanych i liberałów, który uformował się po II wojnie światowej i zmienił religijne oblicze kraju przez jego upolitycznienie. Rozłam jest podtrzymywany przez dominujące partie polityczne republikanów i demokratów, które prezentują inne podejście do kwestii społecznych, w ten sposób przyciągając do siebie zwolenników oraz przez liderów organizacji religijnych, którzy chcą mieć swoich reprezentantów w polityce. W tych obozach religijnych tworzą się konflikty i negatywne stereotypy na temat pozostałych grup. W pracy ukazano krótki rys historyczny religijno-politycznego rozłamu, amerykańskie wyniki badań społecznych dotyczące grup konserwatystów, umiarkowanych i liberałów oraz wnioski końcowe i bibliografię.
