Call for Papers: CARE
While adopting a broad concept of ‘care,’ we are mostly interested in the philosophical grasp of the category in question in its ontological, moral, and existential aspects. We wish to include submissions inspiring an insight into the concept of care in the history of philosophy, beginning with Socrates’s and Plato’s views and their interpretations (e.g., by Jan Patočka or Pierre Hadot) up till the modern times, with a special focus on Martin Heidegger’s concept of Sorge, the conceptions developed by thinkers who either referred to or criticized Heidegger’s approach, as well as contributions on the modern ethics of care, the functioning of the concept of care in the theory and philosophy of education, political philosophy, and, specifically, the transformations of the concept of care of the human being as well as other beings (in particular animals) in cultures and civilizations.
Submission deadline: February 28, 2027
Publication date: June 2027
