The Experience of Beauty

The article records reflections of a musician (a pianist), describing an intellectual and emotional journey through the history of European music, the particular periods of its development with their characteristic styles, in search of what appears timeless in this music and what constitutes the common good for all people sensitive to different manifestations of beauty. The author also attempts to compile a subjective catalogue of eminent representatives of the art of sound and their achievements.
