Abstract

Written on the eightieth anniversary of the end of the Second World War, the essay commemorates the life of Fr. Antoni Myśliwiec, who, in 1942, a newborn baby at the time, was put on a train transporting Dutch Jews to Auschwitz. Based on an interview with Fr. Antoni, the author reconstructs the story of his incredible survival, his life, vocation to the priesthood, and his attempt to get to know his Jewish roots.
