Abstract

By seeking answers to the questions whether it is better to live a stationary life or a nomadic one and referring to the experience of the COVID-19 pandemic and of the limitations imposed by the lockdowns, the author discusses the classic philosophical issue of the possibility of change and interprets human culture as an expression of defiance of the inevitable transience of being.
