The Reception of the Decree Tametsi in Northern Ottoman Europe (1580s–1680s)

Abstrakt

We wczesnonowożytnym świecie katolickich reform i ewangelizacji ogłoszenie oraz wdrożenie trydenckiego dekretu małżeńskiego Tametsi było skomplikowane z powodu szeregu czynników, w tym lokalnej demografii, geografii i polityki religijnej. Koncentrując się na kontrolowanych przez Turków regionach Bośni, Slawonii-Sremu i Banatu (północna Europa osmańska), w artykule przeanalizowano w jaki sposób lokalna specyfika tych obszarów warunkowała przyjęcie i egzekwowanie Tametsi od końca XVI wieku do końca XVII wieku. Artykuł ma na celu pokazanie, jak różne studia przypadków z północnej Europy osmańskiej mogą wzbogacić nasze zrozumienie różnorodności zwyczajów małżeńskich i ich ciągłej rekonfiguracji w całym świecie wczesnej nowożytności.
