Recovery of Expenses Incurred by the Municipality Which Provided the Homeless Person with Social Assistance Benefits at the Place of Stay

Abstract
The Act on Social Assistance enables the homeless to receive benefits at their place of stay. The assistance may be provided inter alia in cases particularly justified by a personal situation and in urgent matters. In that case, the municipality with jurisdiction over the last place of permanent residence of the homeless person is obliged to reimburse the costs incurred to the assisting municipality. In the event of a dispute, the claim shall be pursued in civil proceedings.
