Issues of copyright protection of a scientiflc work

Abstract

The article focuses on issues of the legal protection of scientific works as provided in copyright regulations. The author presented definitions of a scientific work; views on eligibility of scientific works for legal protection, and problems arising within the area. Distinctive features of scientific works have also been discussed, especially those which complicate the task of adding the works to the group of goods protected by copyright law. The article provides specific methods of analysing such works which facilitate the assessment whether a given work is covered by copyright law protection.
