Abstract
The significance of protection of personal interests of a human being – such as: health, freedom, dignity, freedom of conscience, name or pseudonym, image, privacy, inviolability of home – Is currently increasing, both from a theoretical and practical point of view. The dynamics of doctrine and case law development in this area is not comparable with other institutions of civil law; it also seems indisputable that this trend will continue in the future. What is the most significant, the main “driving force” of these changes is case law, which actively uses the achievements of the doctrine, adjusting the range and standard of protection to the changing social and economic conditions. Despite some disturbed, in practice the dominant and accurate trend tends to broaden the sphere of protection of these values, closely related to the human person.
