Legitim in the Polish legal system

In the Polish legal system there is an institution of legitim which, according to some representatives of the doctrine, violates the freedom of testing. The aim of the article is to characterise this institution, considering the latest changes introduced by the ligislature, and provide arguments for and against the existance of legitim in the Polish law. The author also looks at the limitation period of claims to recover this right.
