Abstract
Problems of catastrophe risk management, the consequences of this phenomenon, costs incurred in Poland and worldwide, have become extremely important since damage resulting from these natural elements increased. This issue is now more and more frequently raised by representatives of various communities: agricultural, business, educational and political ones. An important issue in this context is business insurance as an instrument to limit costs which particular countries must incur. This work is a continuation of earlier works published by me as author or co-author [2008, 2009, 2011,2012]. It is also a result of studies conducted within the research program in cooperation with the European Business Club Association e.V., Schloss Oedheim in Germany.
