The article presents the issues relating to the establishment and functioning of daily support facilities. It is a new type of institutions introduced by the legislative Family Support and Substitute Care System Act from 09.06.2011. It should be noted that from the very beginning noticeable is the negative response to the new rules due to unclear regulations, insufficient period of vacatio legis, and above all, the need to adapt the premises in which they are to be carried out daily suport facilities. This article is a synthesis of the most important legal regulations concerning daily support facilities, which can be especially helpful for those who are considering the establishment and manage daily support facilities. Particular emphasis is placed here on the legal rules on the requirements of premises, due to their complexity and the need for substantial financial resources to meet them. The second part of the article is on the principles of co-operation between local authorities and NGOs, as well as the legal aspects of contracting social services for children.
