Aim of the article is to provide information on external audit would conducted over the activities of organs of local self of the territorial in Poland. In the first part approximated concept, purpose and characteristics and the criterion scope of control. In turn presented the authorities empowered to control the activities of local government in Poland. Presents what powers of inspection possess terms of territorial selfgovernment and what measures territorial selfgovernment are subject to control.
