Legal aspects of establishing private schools in the Polish education system

Abstract
The article presents the legal aspects of establishing private schools in the Polish education system. There were characterized eligible entities to create non-public schools and there were indicated the conditions which must be fulfilled by individuals and legal entities other than local governments to apply for the establishment of an educational institution. Above all, the content of the first statute of the school was discussed, which is necessary for effective establishing of school. The article also presents the conditions under which the school is entered in the register of non-public schools, and the rules for granting private school privileges of public schools.
