"Seminare. Learned investigations" - origins, thematic profile, and scientific environment in the early years (1975-1987/88). On the fiftieth annniversary of the Journal's foundation

Abstract
The article discusses the origins, thematic profile and scientific environment of the Salesian scientific journal Seminare. Learned and Pastoral Investigations (since 2004, vol. 20: Learned Investigations) in the first stage of its development, covering the years 1975-1987/88 (wol. 1-9). This reflection was motivated by the fiftieth anniversary of the periodical, which prompts us to look back - not only to record the facts, but also to capture the atmosphere and dynamics of its beginnings. The first part presents th circumstances surrounding the creation of the magazine in the Salesian community, along with the conditions that influenced its form, using historical analysis, as well as the way iin which the editorial team gradually became more inviting to authors from outside the original circle. The final part of the study is an attempt at a comprehensive classification of scientific articles from the period under review according to the main fields of science and disciplines of the arts, while taking into account a more detailed division within the theological sciences, as proposed in the Sapientia Christiana apostolic constitution. The analysis confirmed the clear predominance of publications with a theological and pastoral profile, which accurately reflect the pastoral priorities of the Church in Poland in the post-conciliar era, particularly in the areas of catechesis, youth ministry and family ministry. The presence of texts devoted to Salesian spirituality is also significant, as they gave the magazine its distinctive character and played an essential role in shaping Salesian identity and spiritual formation.
